Pre-Covid 19. The RunBallybunion Half Marathon and 10km Road Race is blessed with a unique course route that winds through the north Kerry vistas along the Wild Atlantic Way, competing in Ballybunion Half Marathon and 10km road race is an experience you will never forget. While challenging hills are interspersed along the route, the scenic views atop each and every one of them are enough to motivate each climb.
Ballybunion Half Marathon and 10km road race simultaneously caters to the most competitive of racers and the most casual of walkers, motivating every competitor to achieve their personal best.
However with current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic still affecting all of Irish life, we have have had to take the unfortunate decision to postpone the normal Half Marathon & 10KM Road Race to Easter Saturday 2021.
Virtual 10km - 2020 Saturday June 27th.
Whilst the postponement is a disappointment we all share, we still are determined to support the fantastic work the Ballybunion Sea & Cliff Rescue continue to do, as well as raise much needed funds to support the fantastic Frontline Medical Staff.
The virtual 10KM run will take place on Saturday 27th - and we hope you will be able to get out and support us in your own home, around your garden, on the couch and in your immediate locality [whilst abiding with all health and safety guidance.]
All the registered entrants to the virtual 10km will receive a medal and t-shirt. These will be sent out to all virtual registrants after the event.

We will be sharing results on myrunresults.com after the run. If you would like your time to be listed on the results table please contact us either on facebook / email and we will log your time and upload it to the results table.
To those existing registrants.
If you have already registered for the now postponed Half Marathon and 10KM Road Race and Kids Fun Run, you should receive an email from EventMaster giving you the option to do one of three things.
A) Cancel and refund your booking.
B) Transfer to the new virtual 10km to help raise funds for these deserving causes. If there is a price difference between your existing registration and the virtual 10km, you will receive a partial refund.
C) Do nothing and defer your physical race entry to Easter Saturday 2021.
If you have not responded to the email from eventmaster, the default option to defer to Easter Saturday 2021 will kick in.
We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause our fantastic runners – we choose this action after consulting with a broad range of experts. The health and safety of all our participants, their supporters and our volunteers is paramount. We will be informing all registered entrants via email.
All the registered entrants to the virtual 10km will receive a medal and t-shirt.

Frontline Medical Staff who have put their own safety at risk to provide such amazing help and support to patients during an unprecedented time. We all owe them a debt of gratitude.
